Tertiary Foundation Certificate and New Start
Developed a cohesive visual look and feel across digital touchpoints for the University of Auckland’s foundational programmes, representing student transition, belonging, and progress.
Tertiary Foundation Certificate (TFC) and New Start (NS) support students in building the skills, confidence, and foundations needed to transition successfully into university study.
I developed a cohesive look and feel to be applied across the video opening and closing frames, social story assets, and other digital touch points. This included carefully selecting a soundtrack that complements the energy, pacing, and movement of the video and motion graphics.
The creative concept is centered around intersecting pathways, representing the diverse routes and experiences students navigate throughout their educational journey. Together, these pathways create an arrow-like form that moves forward and upward, symbolising progress, transition, ambition, and growth.
The design also draws inspiration from the concept of a Whare, a welcoming and supportive space where students can feel connected and a sense of belonging. This reflects the role of TFC and NS in guiding students towards their next chapter in University study.
